VAT total does not reconcile
Data extraction for accounting firms
Purchase invoices, receipts and payment provider settlements arrive as pdf, out of a portal or a mailbox. You get them back as Excel, CSV or UBL, at line level, with the VAT checked against the invoice itself.
Security
Transfer and storage are encrypted. Processing runs on our own infrastructure inside the European Union, and no document goes to an external AI service.
Source files are deleted after a fixed period; what remains is a log per job. If you would rather not send email, I set up an encrypted transfer instead.
What
The statement you often pull yourself as CAMT, MT940 or CODA. The invoice behind the transaction you do not: it arrives as pdf from a portal, a marketplace or a mailbox, and that is where the VAT, the invoice number and the line being booked actually sit.
Purchase and sales invoices, cash and receipt sheets, and the settlements from Mollie, Stripe, Adyen, Bol, Shopify and Amazon. Back you get Excel, CSV or UBL 2.1, or an import file for the package you run, in the Netherlands, Belgium or Luxembourg.
A parser per issuer and per layout. It knows where every field sits, while an OCR model guesses again on every page. I deliver the data; the books, the categories and the advice stay with you.
How
A handful of pdfs from the same supplier, or one monthly settlement. No account, no call, no portal to log in to.
Header and lines: invoice number, date, supplier, VAT rate, amount per line and the total. Name your package and that is the output.
The lines have to add up to the total on the invoice, and the VAT to what the invoice itself states. Anything that does not is flagged.
For a payment provider's settlement, the file reconciles against the amount paid out, with the fees withheld as lines of their own.
After delivery they are deleted within a fixed period. What remains is the log of the job.
Checks
On an invoice the objection is rarely a misread amount. The objection is a VAT rate guessed down from 21 to 9 percent because the column was narrow, with nobody reporting it.
So every delivery adds up to what the invoice says: lines against the subtotal, VAT against the VAT amount, subtotal and VAT against the grand total. A line that does not fit is flagged, not estimated.
Every delivery comes with a short summary: which checks ran, which lines are flagged, and why.

AI or human
A model that cannot read a VAT rate fills in the most common one.

FAQ
The header with invoice number, date, due date, supplier and VAT identification number, and below it the lines with description, quantity, rate, VAT rate and amount. What is on the invoice is in the file; what is not on it is not invented.
Yes, UBL 2.1: the format most packages read as a purchase invoice, and the format underneath Peppol. Alongside that Excel, CSV and an import file for the package you run, as long as you say which package that is.
Yes. Mollie, Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Bol, Shopify and Amazon send monthly overviews in which revenue, fees and payout run together. Those are split into lines that add up to the amount credited to the bank account.
No. I deliver data that agrees with the document. Which ledger account a line belongs to, and what the return becomes, remains the firm's work.
Encrypted in transit and at rest, processed on our own infrastructure inside the European Union, and never shared with an external AI service. Access is limited to whoever carries out the job, and every action is recorded in the log.
Yes, and it is signed before a single file is sent. You can request it beforehand at the address at the foot of this page and read it first.
Then I adjust the parser; there is nothing for you to do. An issuer changing its layout is my problem, and it is covered by the monthly amount.
A handful of pdfs from the same supplier, or one settlement from a payment provider. You receive it converted, with an honest verdict on whether the layout is straightforward or awkward.
